Montgomery Computer Centre has now been running successfully at Montgomery Institute for more than 8 years. Some people may remember it was originally called the Cameo Club. It was the first project started in 2000 under the Montgomery Community Care Project (MCCP). From small beginnings with a few ancient computers and (mainly) elderly volunteers it has developed into a highly successful means of providing access to Information Technology (IT) for all members of the community who are interested to learn about it.
Working closely with Coleg Powys to deliver professional tuition in all areas of IT - from basic touch typing and word processing skills to sophisticated training in digital photography techniques, the MCC is well equiped to deliver all aspects of training to the higest standard.
Up-to-date equipment and support from local PC support services G17, ensures we can provide the latest training to cater for all our members needs. We are indebted to Awards for All Wales for provision of
grants to purchase PCs, printers and software.
