New Mayor for Montgomery
New Mayor Wendy Davies has been elected to stand in office for theTown of Montgomery. The Mayor Making ceremony took place at the Town Hall 
on the 6th June 2008. A gallery of the nights events can be seen by clicking here, or the picture above. A sunday service was also held in St Nicholas Church. Cycle Routes
The launch of the new cycle routes took part on April 13th.
Montgomery has been awarded 
£11,600 by the Welsh Assembly to fund a new cycle route. Residents and tourists are set to reap the benefits of a sizable cash investment from the Welsh Assembly Goverments Active Lifestyle fund for a new cycle route scheme. The routes have been printed on easy to understand maps which are available from shops and businesses around the town and can also be downloaded from this site.
